2019/10/31 - Moto2™ WM 2019: Malaysia GP / Preview

#MalaysianGP: Extreme change in terms of weather conditions

With this weekend’s second last race of the season at the Malaysia Grand Prix, the championship enters the home straight.

After the partly rainy and windy weather last weekend in the south of Australia, the subtropical climate of Southeast Asia is probably the biggest change for everyone in the paddock. In addition, the long and technically demanding Sepang Circuit, located about 70 kilometres outside the gates of Kuala Lumpur, demands highest concentration. Dominique Aegerter, however, sees his tasks mainly to setup his bike in the right direction.

For the spectators in Europe it means to wake up early once again because the Moto2 race will start on Sunday at 06:20am CET.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (MV Agusta Temporary Forward, MV Agusta F2):

"The change from Phillip Island to the conditions in Malaysia with this heat and high humidity is blatant. Nevertheless, I like it to be here and I also like the Sepang Circuit, even though it's a huge challenge to ride at this track. There are beautiful as well as less beautiful memories though, I'm looking forward to this Grand Prix in many ways. In view of the weather the preparation for the race could be difficult, as it could start to rain at any time here. Nevertheless, we will concentrate on our tasks and also try to find the right way regarding the set-up. Maybe we'll take a look at my teammate Stefano (Manzi), who did such a great race in Australia. In doing so, hopefully we'll make it back into the top 15."
