2019/05/22 - Moto2™ WM 2019: Barcelona test

Lots of work done during Barcelona testing

Straight after the Grand Prix de France, Dominique Aegerter and his MV Agusta Forward team hurryingly moved over to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain.

Just two days after last Sunday's race at Le Mans, Dominique Aegerter's next assignment was on schedule with a two-day test at the Montmelo track. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the 28-year-old Rohrbacher was once again one of the busiest riders on track during a private test. Aegerter did a total of 154 laps at the 4.6-kilometre circuit not far from Barcelona. The outcome of the test makes him very confident for the next few races.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (MV Agusta Idealavoro Forward, MV Agusta F2):

"Apart from some scattered showers on the afternoon of the first day, we had good conditions during this test. There were a lot of new parts to try. Our engineers work tirelessly, and they’ve delivered a new frame, a new fairing and also a new swingarm. In addition, various settings had to be tested too. But our focus was mainly on testing the new parts to further develop the motorcycle. We did a lot of laps and my feeling with the MV Agusta is getting better and better. I’m satisfied with the current situation of this still young project. We’re constantly making progress. A big thanks therefore to Forward Racing, as well as to CRC and MV Agusta for their great efforts to bring us forward. In one week, we're in Mugello. I'm looking forward to this race and we'll fight hard again there to make it into the points, as well as further reducing the gap to the top guys. With the next step, it has then to go into the top ten. We work very hard as a team and we all pull together. That’s certainly very positive. I’m therefore confident that we will achieve our goals step by step."
