#JapaneseGP: IN POSITIVE MOOD TO FAR EAST

#DA77: IN POSITIVE MOOD TO JAPAN

Dominique Aegerter heads excited into this weekend’s challenge at the tricky Twin Ring Motegi.

The Grand Prix of Japan, meanwhile the fourth last race of the season, marks the opening round of a busy and at the same time the decisive stage of the championship. The previous race in Thailand two weeks ago was the start of the annual October flyaway races in Asia and Australia though this weekend’s visit to the Twin Ring Motegi, however, is the first of three Grand Prix in as many weeks with long journeys from one place to the next one.

Year by year, the race weekend in Japan is a special occasion for Dominique Aegerter. The Swiss Moto2™ star has a large fan community in the east Asian country, where motorcycle racing has a very special status.

For the European fans, however, it is even earlier to get up than during the previous race weekend. The time difference to Central Europe is seven hours.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing), Championship position 18th (27 points):

"Japan is always something special for me. I really like this country, I like the friendly nature of the people and the fans are even more cool than anywhere else. In addition, I also think the Motegi track is cool either. So, I’m looking forward to this race weekend and opposite to last time, the weather should be a lot more bearable than in Thailand. During this short break since then, I recovered well and got my head free again. Therefore, I’m very positive for the Japanese grand prix."
